PRAYING FOR OUR YOUTH – part of our daily devotional
Remembering that May has been designated by ‘Youth for Christ’ as “PRAY THROUGH MAY”, with an initiative to focus on young people using the topics provided for each day, I enclose the next set of topics for the week 8th to 14th May.
As people of the Risen King, living in resurrection power (which we are assured of in Ephesians chapter one), we have a calling on our lives to bring that power to the situations and people around us.
We need to reach young people with the Gospel. To do this effectively, bearing fruit that will last, we must pray that God’s power will be at work in young people in all kinds of ways and situations.
God loves young people. He created them to be the way that they are but the enemy and the world have distorted the truth of what ‘true life’ really is and so many young people make the transition to adulthood with no spiritual guidance. We are called to stand in the gap, invited by Jesus to partner with Him in saving them, but that doesn’t happen without a fight.
Prayer is our weapon.
The specific words allocated for this next week of May are:-
8th= influence 9th = money 10th = addiction 11th = family
12th = kindness 13th = belonging 14th =fear.

Prayer
Pray that our young people may be able to say “I am not afraid”, knowing and experiencing God before them, behind them, beside them, a powerful Father that can uphold them through everything.
