I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being.
One of the things that many people have
found during this last 18 weeks, is God is calling people to a deeper relationship, others feel a sense of preparation for the coming new normal.
Many of you have become aware of unnecessary baggage we carry that
hinders our Spiritual growth that simply needs to be left behind. CS Lewis
who wrote the Narnia children’s books and was also a Christian wrote
“God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts
in our pains.” God is using these times to strengthen our inner being with
his power through the Holy Spirit.
I love stories of adventure and survival and the power of the human spirit
to overcome adversity. A very famous Story was about a man called Yossi
Ghinsberg an Israeli backpacker travelling through South America he went
through near drowning, venomous snakes, starvation and extreme pain,
incredibly he survived after being left with no supplies, no knife, or way of
making fire. Ghinsberg recounts in his book “There were moments of
great despair, After going over the first waterfall, thinking that was it, I
came up and scrambled to the shore, I had a moment of complete exhilaration that I had survived. A few seconds later came the first feeling of
disaster and despair. Even then, I thought it would only be a few hours
until I found my travelling companions the toughest moment was after a
few days, when I realised that I was completely alone.”
As a child of God you are never alone, you may go through the fire of
testing but God can be work strengthening your Inner being that Paul tells
us is the dwelling place of Christ and is brought alive and strengthened by
the Holy Spirit. God strengthens us so that we grow in our walk with Jesus, know and understand more of who God is, and are filled with the
fulness of God where he can work through us to do immeasurably more
than we can ask or imagine! (Ephesians 3 v 17-20)
So lets re imagine a deeper relationship with Jesus, throw off everything
that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Ephesians 3 v 14-21
“With God, you are stronger than your struggles and more fierce than your fears…. Be encouraged, keep standing, and know that everything's going to be alright.
